Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Nexus is run as an independent project by a sole operator based in Romania. “We” and “us” mean that operator. “You” means the person or business holding a Nexus account.

2. What the service is

Nexus gives AI assistants a memory. You send it documents to learn from and conversations to answer. It stores what it learns and answers using an AI model. You reach it through an API key that we issue.

3. Your account and keys

4. Your content

Everything you send to Nexus, and the memories made from it, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it for one purpose: running the service for you.

You confirm that you have the right to send it. Where it includes personal data about other people, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to process it and for telling those people what the law requires you to tell them. The data processing terms then apply as well.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Nexus to:

Content sent to an AI model must also respect the usage rules of the company that provides that model.

6. What the AI says

Nexus is built to answer from what it was taught and to say so when it does not know. Even so, AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. We do not guarantee that any answer is correct or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for how you use what it says, and for telling people they are talking to an AI where the law requires it.

7. Plans, limits and payment

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Nexus running and fast, but we do not promise a level of uptime unless we have agreed one with you in writing. The service is sometimes unavailable for maintenance.

We may change features, and the AI models on offer change when their makers retire or replace them. When a change would break an existing integration we give notice in advance where we reasonably can.

9. Ending and suspension

10. Our service

Nexus, its software and its documentation remain ours. These terms give you the right to use the service, not ownership of any part of it. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely.

11. No warranties

As far as the law allows, Nexus is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind beyond those written in these terms.

12. Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12-month period, for all claims connected with these terms or the service, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the first event that gave rise to the claim, or EUR 50.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue and lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If we cannot settle a dispute between us, it goes to the competent courts of Romania. If you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory protections of the country where you live still apply to you.

14. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the new version is published here with a new effective date, and customers are told by email about changes that matter. Using Nexus after a change takes effect means you accept it.
